Many years ago, a group of (angry,) wealthy, white, protestant, men got together. One of them wrote the Declaration of Indepence,
a long, eloquently written, bitch-fest against the king. A short while later, another long and eloquently written document
was produced; The Constitution of the United States. This document was also signed and dated. Added on the the end of the
Constitution, by Congress, were ten amendments, we know them more commonly as the Bill of Rights. The rights were originally
intended for use by other wealthy, white, protestant, men. Over the years, times & people changed. Today, the Bill of
Rights is for all citizens of the United States, regardless of wealth, finance, race, creed, or gender. Unfortunately, we
still have a problem convincing the current administration that gays, lesbians, bisexuals, & transgenders are people too.
