New Blog Thingy
Mood:  lyrical
Now Playing: Gaia Online
So, it's obvious I haven't used this thing in a looooong while. Months in fact. That's because I got a new journal. I use that. It's faster and easier than this one. I prefer it.

So...yeah. This is going to be just another bit of wasted bandwidth. YAY for waste of space!!

Okay, so I'm off to my REAL journal, now. Buh-bye. ^_^

Now Playing: New Toy
Yesterday, I went out and bought myself a new toy. I've been wanting it for awhile now, and it was on sale so I broke down and bought it. Yep, I finally am the proud owner of a crappy little digi-cam that I am absolutely loving!!

Okay, that's all for now. Yay! I got a digi-cam! ^_^

Here's the first picture I took while testing out my toy. (For reference, I'm standing under a tree in my backyard.)

LOL! Oh, my sides hurt!! ROFLMAO!!
Now Playing: Now, that's good internet!
Whilst surfing the net, I found this picture. I don't recall the site name, so if it belongs to you, please let me know! Anyway, I saw this and realized that I just had to post it...for some reason it gives me a warm and fuzzy. Heehee! Another child's faith and hopes dashed by the harsh realities of life.

Me=sadistic bitch, apparently.

Also, I'd like to say "Happy 21st Birthday!" to my best friend, Jenny. She's flown off to Vegas to celebrate--I'm so jealous...
She'll probably have something to say about the picture I've just posted...

Now Playing: The Reason They Invented the TELEPHONE!!!
8:00 a.m. The phone rings and my dad answers. Apparently my mom had some kind of accident at work, she got very dizzy, a sharp pain in her neck and blacked out. She was taken to the hospital and Strattec sent someone to pick up my dad so he could drive her car and meet her there (at the hospitatl). Either way, I was up, and I mean up-up at like 8:05a.m. My dad left with some guy in a white van (::shutter*white van*::) and I stayed home to watch my boy and, you know, wait for someone to call and tell me what's going on.

Racked with worry, the cordless phone tucked neatly in my pocket, and me eagerly awaiting a call from my dad. I couldn't figure out what to do with myself, so I baked. (Hey, what do you want? I'm from Wisconsin, it's what my people do...except Jen--she must be from a totally different Wisconsin...)

Seven and a half hours later, my parents come rolling into the drive and I run out to the back stoop to meet them. Mom is slowly walking up the drive.
Me: Are you alright?!
Mom: *moan, grumble* Yeah, I guess so...

A few moments later my comes ambling along the drive.
Me: Seven and half hours and you couldn't find a phone?!
Dad: *LOL*
Me: I'm serious! I mean, what the hell?! Did you break all your fingers? 1-800-COLLECT, man! Seven and a half hours--you could have picked up a damned phone!!

Well, anyway...turns out mom popped a muscle or a nerve in her neck and she's more-or-less fine. Also, she liked my baked goods when she got home. :) But, still! The man could have picked up the damned as phone and called me with a friggen update! I was damned ass worried, the jerk-ass!!

During those SEVEN & A HALF HOURS, I obviously baked stuff, cleaned some stuff, helped my son with his homework, smoked about a pack of cigarettes, and drank 3 pots of coffee. He should have called. (Don't worry, I'll get over his not calling eventually...)

From the Strangeness that is Me!
Mood:  caffeinated
Now Playing: ::sigh:: I can't seem to think of a title for this one...
Okay, so my mother has been bitching about all the chicken we've been eating lately. Chicken is currently fairly cheap, so it's about all we can afford, but she's been saying for the past month that she could really go for some ribs.

Anyway, I had class tonight (I know this is seemingly random, but I swear, I'll tie it all together in a moment, just bear with me), and on my way out the door, my mother asks me to buy some milk and dish soap on my home. "Okay," I replied. So, class is over and I'm at the grocery store, dish soap in hand. As I pass the meat department, I realize my mom's birthday is just a day a half away, so I figure I'll pick something up while I'm at the store. I wander back to the meat, and I notice a huge pack of pork ribs on sale. Quickly, I snatch up the ribs, thinking that "mom's gonna love this" as I shuffle off to find the barbeque sauce.

I get home, it's about quarter after ten and I put away the bbq sauce and the dish soap (I forgot to pick up the milk). Then with the pack of ribs I go bounding into the living room and present it to my mother, a huge smile on my face, "Happy Birthday!" I say loudly. She simply stared at me as though I had completely lost my ever-lovin' mind, glancing occasionally at the meat. My dad was sitting in his chair across from her, his mouth hanging open, with a somewhat shocked look. It was really quiet for a few seconds.
Suddenly, I could hear my best friend's voice in my head saying, "Yep. Nuthin' says 'Happy Birthday' like raw meat!" It was at this moment that my dad started laughing uncontrollably and I finally realized, this was a really weird gift to give someone.

Affected...
Mood:  caffeinated
Now Playing: Oy Geepers!
My dad took my son outside this morning, as he does almost every morning. Taking a break from my studies, I let my curiousity get the better of me, and went to the back door to see what they were up to.

Both were sitting on the back porch, my father had a paint stick in his hand and was showing my son a dead hornet that lay on the ground. I just stood there, watching them--it was almost a Kodak moment...

That is, until my father decided to track another hornet around, when it landed, he beat it ferociously with the paint stick. Then another. He simply waited for the hornets come, when they did, he whack them with the broad side of the paint stick. The last one fell into the grass and my dad said, "Oooh, that one's not dead, but I can't see it..."

"Honey," I said to my son, "Come in here for a minute, Mommy wants to show you something." My son came to the door, and I let him in.

"Yeah, the inside of the door," retorted my father, beating senseless yet another hornet.

"Damn straight!" I exclaimed, closing the door. I then proceeded to make my son some lunch--almost an hour early, but that's not point I'm trying to make here.
My dad walked in a few minutes later to get some water and a cigarette...at which point I decided to calmly explain my position on his earlier actions:

"What the hell is wrong with you?! You are so damned affected! I mean, really! You live with 3 people that are allegic to those things and you think it's a good idea to make them angry?!" I had lost the composure I going for at some point during the rant. My dad laughed at me...apparently the situation was highly amusing to him.

"Hornet don't get angry," he replied, going back outside, paint stick in hand.

"No, they get even!" I called back.

So, what was the point of this story you ask? I will answer you truthfully, it didn't have a point, I just haven't posted anything in a while and that is the most interesting thing that's happened since my last post...

Oh yeah, and I think I have a crush on one of my instructors...just a little one...

Now Playing: Furiously Bored...
In just a few short days I will be another year older. n July 15, I will turn 23 years old at exactly 3:01 p.m. Then I'll be staring down the barrel of 24, geepers. I know, I'm still pretty young, but the fact remains that I'm not getting any younger. Less mature, perhaps, but younger, no.

What will I be doing on my birthday? (I know you didn't ask, but I'm going to tell you anyway.) My good friend Bobbo and I are going to the house of one of our favorite high school teachers: Dr. Wayne Jensen. We intend to surprise him with some kind of cheap-ass gift we'll pick at (most likely) the dollar store. Our approach will be something to the effect of playing loud music--probably Cypress Hill or Styx (we're not certain) and ring the door bell in a "ding-dong-ditch" fashion, minus the ditch. Instead of running away, we will tango in his front yard. We are debating kidnapping a guy named Pete, and dragging him along. Personnally, I think I'll try to contact some members of the freshman boys basketball team from 1996-1997--I managed this team. I'm hoping they will join us for the fun...however, the odds of me actually getting in contact with them and them taking my request seriously are slim to nill. So, anyway, that's what I'm doing for my birthday. Go me! (Note to self: pick up a bottle of scotch.)

Mrs. Jensen: If you're reading this, please, don't tell Wayne! It's a surprise.

To Dan, Peter, Kevin, Darrin, Mike, Tae, and all the other guys from the team: If you are reading this and want to join in the festivities, sen me an e-mail at g00d_feathers@yahoo.com, & I'll give you your assignments. Remember, loose lips destroy secret plans, so keep your mouths shut. (Sorry 'bout that last part, I'm still in Boondock Saints mode.)

"Make like a tree and get the fuck outta here!"-McGinty from the Boondock Saints

Boondock News: They (the all encompassing vagueness of "they") are currently filming Boondock Saints 2! Rejoice, rejoice!

I just saw Pirates of the Carribbean. It was lovely. Orlando Bloom can wear anything and still look fucking gorgeous! After I watched it the 3rd or 4th time, it dawned on me, this movie is a remake. I'm not certain, but I think the original starred Errol Flynn (sp?). However, I like the Johnny Depp version better--this could be simply due to the fact that I've had a bit of a crush on him since I was 4 or 5 and watched 21 Jump Street religiously. (That was about the only thing I did religiously.)

Okay that's all until I come up something new.

Hello out there!
Mood:  caffeinated
Now Playing: Been awhile
Okay, first I'd like to apologize for my extended month-long absence. To be honest, for two weeks I forgot I had a blog, or a webpage for that matter. The last two weeks, however, I've had some pc issues, making it nearly impossible for me to stay online for more than ten minutes. So, I shall update all of you for the past month.

Passed one class, had to take an Incomplete in the other (pc issues, lost my references and part of a paper I was working for said class T_T, had to start over.) I turned afformentioned paper in today, and e-mailed it to the instructor to make certain he had recieved it. It was not nearly what it had been--there were four (4) references for all twenty (20) pages...cripes. Had someone ask me "How do I get a Jeebofish off my car without wrecking the paint job?" (There was a whole story about the Jeebofish, but it's kind of long and involved...if you're Christian--I apologize for any offense.) The word "Jeebofish" just made me smile, so I thought I say a word about it.
Speaking of words...I have a few new ones!
Tarradiddle: (meaning) a fib, pretentious nonsense. Pleonasm: (meaning) the use of more words than are necessary to express an idea. (that definition is a pleonasm (?))

Also, I watched one of my favorite movies again, and again, and yet again...just because, well, dammit, I went all the way to Blockbuster, paid them some money, and rented the damn thing, now it's mine til friday--so I'm gonna use it like I mean it, yeah baby! The movie? Boondock Saints. Now I'm not so exceptionally on the, shall we say, "orthodox" side of religious beliefs, but that doesn't mean Catholicism doesn't still facsinate the beJeebofish outta me. (Hey, Jen, you like how I worked "Jeebofish in there"?) For those of you who have seen the movie, but still don't know the prayer by heart, here it is:

"And shepherds we shall be,
for thee my Lord for thee,
power hath descended forth from thy hand,
that our feet may swiftly carry out thy command.
We shall flow a river forth to thee,
and teeming with souls shall it ever be.
In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti."
(by: Troy Duffy who both wrote and directed Boondock Saints, and will have a special place in my heart forever--gotta love Willem Dafoe in that movie! He just gets so into character! Fuck! Go watch the movie yourself!) Now for those of you, and you know who you are, who do not speak Latin or aren't Catholic, here is a translation of the last line: "In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." (As if that wouldn't be obvious as all git oot, right?)

Okay, that's all...rent the Boondock Saints...

Veritas! Aequitas! Aut viam inveniam aut faciam!!
